Day #14

Today I was able to tour the Predjama cave and castle. While in the cave, we took a train into the heart of the cave and walked through many of the cave passages. The size of the cave was impressive to say the least, but it was also very beautiful!

The castle is built into the mountains and has been added on to throughout the years. The base of the castle was built over 800 years ago and the castle is considered the largest cave castle in the world.

In the evening, I was able to visit the popular tourist attraction called Lake Bled. It was somewhat difficult to find transportation to get to the lake which made us arrive later than we would have liked, but it was still beautiful. Lake Bled’s main feature is a church in the middle of a lake, with a castle overlooking on the hill. If I was to come to lake bled again, I would love to rent a canoe or bike to enjoy more of the scenery. Lake Bled is about an hour outside of the city, which allowed for plenty of time on the us to view the outstanding country sides and mountain views. On the way home, about dusk, there was a thick layer of fog following the river.
